Adrian Zelazny, Ph.D., D(ABMM)

Adrian Zelazny, Ph.D., D(ABMM), is Chief of the Microbiology Service, Director of the Mycobacteriology section and Director of the Microbiology Fellowship at the Microbiology Service, Department of Laboratory Medicine, Clinical Center, National Institutes of Health, in Bethesda, Md. He has published more than 120 peer-reviewed manuscripts and review articles.

His research has focused on chronic infections and outbreaks of mycobacteria, pathogen and host-pathogen interactions in immunocompromised patients and novel proteomic- and genomic-based diagnostic approaches.

Zelazny serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Clinical Microbiology and on several committees of the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI).
